Message from the President January.2021

Happy New Year to you all.

It is a great pleasure for me to greet the New Year, knowing that together we will contribute to creating the future while writing the history of Meitec.

Last year, 2020 was the year of the Rat, said to be a year with many changes. We experienced a turbulent environment as the global economy shifted to a deceleration phase due to factors such as trade friction and geopolitical risk. It was a very difficult year, reflecting unpredictable conditions, or VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity), with the COVID-19 pandemic having profound repercussions for public health and the global economy from the beginning of the year. This situation continues even now.

In the environment surrounding Meitec, the speed of competition among companies around the world through technological innovation is also accelerating. People are seeking new value, and this has brought rapid change to business models and work styles.

This year, 2021 is the second year of the three-year Meitec Group Mid-Term Management Plan (2020-2022): “The Transformation.” Under this plan, we are pursuing the provision of high added value as we aim to evolve into a unique corporate group that is able to sustain its growth.

As a group of professionals playing the core role in manufacturing with people and technology, we will remain an “Engineering Firm at The Core,” helping to create an affluent society through our contributions to technical innovation. With this awareness and pride, let’s build a sustainable future through Mutual Growth & Prosperity, bringing passion to our search for the technological strength that will create new value.
