For the winter issue of SYORYU (in-house newsletter), which we will deliver to all employees in January 2019, we asked six corporate customers to talk about their expectations for MEITEC and MEITEC engineers.
In the in-house newsletters issued in fiscal 2018, we included content that would create opportunities for you to know and think about what are necessary for continuing to provide customers with high added value in higher-end areas as rapid technological evolutions and environmental changes take place around the world. For the winter issue as the concluding chapter, we directly asked customers as users of our engineering services about their expectations for MEITEC and MEITEC engineers and the technologies that will be necessary for engineers in society in general.
The words of the six corporate customers who cooperated with us this time are our irreplaceable assets. I really appreciate them. The words of the customers contain many keywords that will be important as you work as professional engineers. Please read them thoroughly and make use of the contents proactively in your future endeavors.
We have one month left in 2018. Looking back on the year, I am surprised at the speed at which technologies around the world have continued to evolve. What kind of world will be created by the technologies that are developing exponentially, such as AI and robotics? Companies attempting to develop new services are entering into new corporate alliances and collaborations that would have been unthinkable before, transcending boundaries between industries and affiliates.
How much did you grow over the past one year? The keywords I told you in my message for the year are “polish our ‘Antenna’ and ‘Sensibility,’” “having a sound sense of crisis,” and “thinking about things and taking actions from the viewpoint of the other person.” Specifically, I advised you to recognize changes in the world and the evolution of technologies, observe things with an awareness of issues on a routine basis, and think and act to create a state that gives the other person a sense of security and makes them hopeful. To what extent were you conscious of these keywords as you went about your daily work?
Please look back on your personal development to conclude 2018. I hope that, in 2019, you will first learn customers’ expectations from the in-house newsletter you receive and achieve further personal development from there.
